Bob Thurbon graduated from Gonzaga  University School of Law in 1987. After serving as an Assistant Prosecutor for the City and County of Spokane, Washington, Bob returned to California and has spent more than 30 years representing California school districts. 

Bob serves as general counsel in matters of labor and employment including, discipline, dismissal, unfair labor practice changes; business contracts, developer mitigation agreements, construction matters, land use and real estate, and eminent domain.  Bob also represents clients in litigation matters in State and Federal courts and all forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution.  Bob has extensive trial experience, including jury trials, bench trials, administrative hearings, and Appellate Court proceedings. He has also been a frequent speaker and panel member at workshops and seminars addressing topics which include public employee discipline and dismissal, labor negotiations, construction claims, and civil litigation.
